A lino print was commended in the later stages of judging in the SAA Artist of the Year competition 2022.
Second place in Dronfield Arts Festival Amateur Photography Competition/Exhibition May 2019 - A57 bridge at Ladybower with dramatic winter light shortly after a heavy shower.
Excited Winner of the Institution of Civil Engineers/Conservation Accreditation Register for Engineers Photography Competition 2012
"I am delighted to inform you that the CARE Panel has unanimously agreed that your photograph of the Grade 2 listed cementation furnace in Sheffield has been selected as the winning entry.
Your name, together with your winning photograph, will appear in the 2012 autumn/winter issue of the CARE newsletter."
First prize in a National Competition through Practical Photography magazine with a photograph of Sheffield's popularly named Cheese Grater Car Park. The prize took me to the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia with two top tutors. Sadly I broke my ankle on the first day slipping in the unexpected heavy snow. After a sledge rescue, I spent the week recovering from an operation in the local hospital. I did get some photographs before the unhappy incident.
