I won second place in Dronfield Arts Festival Amateur Photography Competition/Exhibition May 2019.- A57 bridge at Ladybower with dramatic winter light shortly after a heavy shower.
I was excited to be Winner of the Institution of Civil Engineers/Conservation Accreditation Register for Engineers Photography Competition 2012

I won first prize in a National Competition through Practical Photography magazine with a photograph of Sheffield's popularly named Cheese grater Car Park. The prize took me to the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia with two top tutors. Sadly I broke my ankle on the first day slipping in the unusually heavy snow. After being rescued on a sledge I had an operation to pin and plate it and then spent the rest of the time in hospital. I did manage to get some photographs before the unhappy incident
